A typical view of the Cantabrian countryside in the Nansa Valley on the northern coast. This view point is known as the 'Mirador Asomada del Ribero'
The two villages seen here are Carmona and San Pedro. Carmona (on the left) is one of the oldest towns in Andalucia and is known for its tradition of handcrafting 'abarcas', typical wooden shoes used in the mountain villages. Michael Portillo, the UK television presenter, has a house in Carmona where he can escape the English winter.
