This small square in the heart of Bridport was possibly named after a pub called the 'Buck and Doe' which once stood near the site many hundreds of years ago. It is now a popular meeting place and the location of a monthly farmer's market. It is also claimed to be one of the of the top ten streets in Dorset for picking up £60 parking tickets, which help net Dorset County Council between £12,000 and £34,000 a year.
