At over 10,000 feet (3238 metres) and with a sheer drop below of 500 feet, this is currently the highest suspension bridge in Europe, measured above sea level. It is 100 metres long and less than 1 metre wide, and was opened on 14th December 2012 to commemorate 100 years since the opening of the cable-way in January 1913 linking Engelberg and Gerschnialp. The blue building is the top station of the six-seater 'Ice Flyer' chair lift. The panorama was taken on Christmas day in 2012.
