Morwellham is a restored historic Victorian inland port on the River Tamar, which for 1,000 years was a centre for shipping silver, tin, copper and other minerals.
This view shows the renovated 32 ft water wheel, which once powered a mill for crushing locally-mined manganese.
The white building on the right of the two is the Ship Inn, originally a 16th century inn, and believed by archaeologists to be 'The House on the Quay' mentioned in a lease of 1240 when Henry III was king.
Morwellham Quay was the location for the 2010 BBC series 'The Edwardian Farm'.
