In the early days Bell Cliff was a popular platform for electoral speeches. Nowadays it's a favourite spot to while away the time with a Dorset cream tea while admiring the view of the famous Jurassic Coastline. In 2019 it was a filming location for the film 'Ammonite' a story about the famous fossil hunter Mary Anning who lived and worked in Lyme Regis.
