This is the new sea wall opened in the Autumn of 2014 and links Lyme Regis to East Cliff beach. The wall replaced the original which was built around 1957 and was deteriorating. The limestone cliffs seen here at the end of the wall are the site of the ichthyosaur fossil discovered by the famous collector Mary Anning over 200 years ago
